Independent Medical Professionals at our practice
Independent Medical Practitioners
Salisbury Medical Centre has experienced independent doctors working at our practice. They can handle a wide range of healthcare conditions. Whether you want to book a routine check-up or need help managing a chronic condition, you will always receive attentive and expert care.
Meet our independent doctors:

Dr Nick Sawyer
MBBS, Dip Occupational & Environmental Health
After graduating from the University of Tasmania in 1983, I started working life as a doctor and did most of my general practice training in Bristol, in the west of England. I worked as a general practitioner there before returning with my wife and three children and have worked in the Salisbury and Sunnybank areas for the past twenty years.
I enjoy all that general practice brings, including minor surgery and travel medicine and I have a Diploma in Occupational and Environmental Health. Since 2012 I have been the lead general practitioner at Salisbury Medical Centre, leading a large team of enthusiastic and skillful doctors, nurses, and administration staff.
When I’m not working, I enjoy the relaxation that home brings, my family and my cats. We travel when we can and now, we need to see more of Queensland and Australia.
